Maricopa County safety efforts at Waste Management Open

While Waste Management Open attendees were watching the golf pros, sighting celebrities, and enjoying the food, Maricopa County departments were working hard behind the scenes to keep guests safe and healthy.

Maricopa County Environmental Services Department food inspectors conducted food inspections to ensure the event’s food was safe to consume.

Maricopa County Emergency Management (MCDEM) monitored the event for any potential large-scale incidents. MCDEM also trained and equipped first responders through the community on how to use radiation detection devices.
