The Phoenix Fire Department celebrated National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week by highlighting Nancy Yamamori, a dispatcher with 2.5 years of service at the department. Yamamori currently serves as a classroom mentor for the department’s dispatcher training program. She has previous experience working for Scottsdale Police Department and Game & Fish. The department honored her service by creating an action figure representing her role as a public safety telecommunicator.
